Tornado’s condition monitored for years
For example, the condition of the drive motor and gearbox of the Tornado roller coaster has been monitored for several years through on-site vibration measurements. When necessary, condition monitoring has been supplemented with online measurements, which have enabled continuous monitoring of the development of the gearbox bearing’s condition in the event of faults. This makes it possible to make maintenance decisions at the right time and based on the actual condition of the equipment.
